Throughout her clinical career, Motahareh has gained more than 10 years of experience treating individuals with a wide range of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions in both outpatient and acute care settings. Her clinical expertise includes postoperative rehabilitation, gait and mobility assessment, manual therapy, dry needling, pain management, and functional rehabilitation. She is committed to providing individualized, evidence-based care that helps patients reduce pain, restore function, and safely return to their daily activities, work, and recreational pursuits.
Alongside her clinical practice, Motahareh has established a strong research portfolio in orthopedic rehabilitation and patient-centred outcomes. She has authored more than 24 peer-reviewed scientific publications, contributed to numerous multidisciplinary research projects, and presented her work at more than 50 national and international scientific conferences. Her research focuses on improving rehabilitation following orthopedic surgery, enhancing patient-reported outcome measurement, and ensuring that patient perspectives are integrated into healthcare decision-making and rehabilitation practice.
Motahareh believes that combining rigorous scientific research with compassionate clinical care is essential for delivering high-quality rehabilitation. She is passionate about translating current evidence into practical treatment strategies that improve functional recovery, optimize patient outcomes, and support informed clinical decision-making.
As a member of the RehabOttawa.ca team, Motahareh contributes to the development and scientific review of evidence-based rehabilitation protocols, with particular interests in orthopedic rehabilitation, postoperative recovery, patient-reported outcome measures, and patient-centred rehabilitation. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, researchers, and healthcare professionals, she is committed to ensuring that the project’s clinical recommendations reflect the latest scientific evidence and best practices.
